Deals worth 1-point-4 billion U.S. dollars were inked at the recently-concluded 22nd International Toys & Gifts Fair, in Chenghai, a district in Shantou, Guangdong province. The city is home to over 40,000 companies and a major hub for the toy industry in China. Together these companies also account for one-third of the global toy manufacturing capacity. Buyers at the event said they were drawn by not only the quality and price of the toys, but also the "Never No" mentality of the local business people.
