On April 4, former U.S. President Donald Trump's legal troubles mount after his indictment in a Manhattan court. He was charged with 34 counts of felony. He pleaded not guilty to all the charges. Spencer Critchley, an Obama campaign adviser, said Trump is much more of an opportunistic figure than  transformative. "I think that he just exploited a trend that was already well underway," Critchley said, referring to what he termed as "ethnic nationalist resurgence." U.S. constitutional lawyer Bruce Fein agreed, saying Trump was a pro-choice Democrat before he became a Republican. Trump changed because he understood the culture had changed, Fein added.
