It's the first formal meeting between the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia and Iran in more than seven years. The two met in Beijing and issued a joint statement on the restoration of bilateral ties. Wang Jin, associate professor from Northwest University of China, says that the resumption of relations would pave the way for a more stable, peaceful Middle East.
