After a spring rain, over 1,000 Primula filchnerae Knuth plants in the Xi'an Botanical Garden in northwest China's Shaanxi Province are in full bloom. Primula filchnerae Knuth is an endangered species, found only in Shaanxi and Hubei provinces. Botanists use artificial cultivation to protect it from extinction.
