Former chairman of the Chinese Kuomintang party, Ma Ying-jeou, says he is confident about resuming exchanges across the Taiwan Straits, as he returned to Taiwan after a trip to the Chinese mainland. He shared the experience of a "long goodbye" as Taiwan students exchanged contacts with mainland students before departure.
