Located in Hulunbuir City, north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the ecotone in the Greater Hinggan Mountains is the country's healthiest and most complete ecosystem transition between forest and grassland. Subject to natural conditions, a vertical border of vegetations is formed from the forests in the east to the vast grassland in the west.
About 'Journeys in Nature': Eastern Inner Mongolia Series
Adjacent to the three northeastern provinces, bordering Russia and Mongolia in the north, eastern Inner Mongolia is located in the north of China, with a total area of 664,900 square kilometers. In this series, we will embark on a journey of Hulunbuir Grassland, Xilingol Grassland, primeval forests, wetlands and the lovely creatures living there.
