Economist: Banking crisis caused mainly by regulatory issues

The current banking crisis represented by the collapse of Silicon Valley Bank are mainly caused by the lack of effective supervision, not problems with the banking system, says Prof. Francois Bourguignon, Emeritus Chair of the Paris School of Economics. The former chief economist of the World Bank also expresses confidence that similar banking crises will not occur in the short term.
