After 40 years of being in China, Volkswagen's localization strategy has been extremely successful and is crucial to the company's development, said Stefan Mecha, CEO of Volkswagen China Passenger Cars Brand in an interview with CGTN anchor Kate Kui at the 2023 Hainan Expo. Volkswagen is very optimistic about the Chinese market and will continue to invest more resources and energy to meet the growing needs of Chinese consumers, he added. The German car manufacturer also has close collaborations with domestic technology enterprises.
