A steppe fire in eastern Mongolia threatened to spread to north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, spurring local Chinese firefighters to prevent it from crossing the border. The wildfire broke out on April 8 in the Erdenetsagaan district of Mongolia's Sukhbaatar Province and was successfully extinguished on Tuesday morning.
