Multiple casualties were reported on Tuesday after the Myanmar military launched an attack on an event being held by a rebel group in a township in central Myanmar.
According to residents in the Sagaing area, BBC Burmese, Radio Free Asia (RAF), and the Irrawaddy news portal reported that at least 30 people, including civilians, had died in the attack.
Reuters has been unable to verify the reports and attempts to contact a spokesperson for the ruling military have been unsuccessful.
