China is seeing more Brazilian companies establishing and fortifying their business in China. CGTN's Ning Hong spoke to a number of Brazilian companies in China to get their perspectives on business ties between these two developing economy giants.

Suzano is a pulp manufacturer with its base in Brazil. Having entered the Chinese market in the 1980s, the company has grown to become one of the world's largest in this field.

WALTER SCHALKA, Global CEO of Suzano "Chinese representing for us more than forty percent of our total volumes exceeding five point three million tons. China is the booming market used to be a high growth market now it's more than that, it's a high quality market as well."

In March this year, Suzano set up its first R&D and innovation center in Asia, with the innovability hub in Shanghai's Zhangjiang Science City. The goal of this facility, according to Suzano, involves long-term strategic efforts to create an open and transformative innovation platform in China.

WALTER SCHALKA Global CEO of Suzano "our DNA's based on two different things, innovation and sustainability, and this is the reason that we have this innovability hub in Shanghai. The idea over there is to align with different as stakeholders in China. How we can operate a better and prepare a better award. And confidence is the key word that we've made a presentation in Shanghai a few days ago about our China's perception. We are confident that China will continue to grow with high growth quality, with creating a lot of new jobs, creating a better market growing at a very fast pace, it's very impressive and we are highly committed with the Chinese market for many years to come."

Beijing has seen many visits from Brazilian companies in the past few weeks. Many share the same perspective about the Chinese market and cooperation between the two countries.

HENRY OSVALD, President of BraCham, Brazilian Association in China for Commerce, Industry and Technology "I think a Brazil has a lot to learn from China which all over this year's China has managed to really add a lot of value to the supply chain to the economy and that's basically investing a lot on education, attracting foreign investment and I'm sure now Chinese specially that has a big interest in Brazil as as both countries are are the main trade partners. We are counting a lot on the Chinese government and private sector support to really invest on an education on hardware, on technology cause that's the only way Brazil cannot be only an exporter of commodities, who really need to add value and hopefully also export some some finished products to China."

China has been Brazil's biggest trade partners for 14 years. While trade in agricultural products, minerals and oil are stable, Chinese investment in Brazil continues to grow in infrastructure and public welfare projects. The two countries are also seeing more cooperation in innovative sectors such as green energy, electric cars and high tech. Ning Hong, CGTN, Beijing.
