Italy is this year's country of honor at the 3rd China International Consumer Products Expo (CICPE) taking place in Haikou, Hainan Province. Around 150 Italian brands are attending the trade gathering, showcasing premium products to the Chinese market.
The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce is also in Haikou, alongside more than 20 of its members. CGTN caught up with the chamber's chairman Paolo Bazzoni, who shared his thoughts on the expo. He also spoke on the importance of adapting to the local market and the potential of the Chinese consumer.
