Former U.S. President Donald Trump was charged with 34 counts of falsifying business records, the Manhattan district attorney said on April 4. Trump became the first former U.S. president to be criminally indicted, but pleaded not guilty.
CGTN Stringer asked locals in Los Angeles about their views on the reasons behind Trump's indictment. Some regarded the indictment as a chance for Trump to prove he was innocent, some considered that the evidence was pretty much obvious that he might be guilty, and some thought it was still a political drama.
