China's old friend, Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, is paying his fifth state visit to China this week. During his trip, President Lula will visit the New Development Bank(NDB) and attend the inauguration of former Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff as head of NDB. In an exclusive interview with CGTN host Tian Wei, vice president of the bank Leslie Maasdorp says there are three priorities for the bank now, which are expanding the bank, increasing its role in climate action and bringing in more capital. He also highlights that the NDB is a highly rated institution, which means it is well capitalized, has higher levels of liquidity and very low leverage.
