Water Splashing Festival is a tradition among the Dai people in southwest China's Yunnan Province. In Jinghong City, locals are joined by visitors from other parts of China to take part in exciting water fights during the day. At night, the celebrations continue with the release of Chinese lanterns carrying good wishes into the sky.
