Russia conducts test launch of 'advanced' intercontinental ballistic missile

Russia said it conducted a successful test launch of an "advanced" intercontinental ballistic missile on April 12. The announcement by the defense ministry came weeks after Russia suspended participation in its last remaining nuclear arms control pact with the United States. The ministry did not specify the type of missile used in the launch, saying it"was to test advanced combat equipment of intercontinental ballistic missiles."
