In 2022, University of Sao Paulo (USP) in Brazil and China Agricultural University (CAU) launched a joint post-graduate program primarily in agriculture, but also encompassing other fields. Involving dozens of international students this year, the program aims to build a world-class pool of talent in this area. The two world-class universities in the field of agriculture say they're passionate about building a high-quality training platform for global talent. CAU tops the list of agricultural education in Asia and USP is a leading institution in agricultural disciplines in Latin America. The joint program offers not only professional courses such as agronomy and breeding crops, but public administration, enterprise management, and rural development. Professor Luiz Gustavo Nussio, former vice president of USP and professor of CAU-USP joint postgraduate program, told CGTN there is a willing attitude right now from both sides. "Both Chinese and Brazilians, they are willing to start doing together many things. We are doing great alone, but we can do much more together."
