The U.S. Justice Department arrested Jack Teixeira, a 21-year-old member of the Massachusetts Air National Guard, on Thursday in connection with an investigation into the alleged unauthorized removal, retention and transmission of classified national defense information. FBI agents took Teixeira into custody at his home without incident. U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland said Teixeira would be charged in federal court.
