"Germany has been China's largest trading partner in Europe for nearly 50 years in a row, and the two sides have strong economic complementarities and wide scope for cooperation," Chinese Vice President Han Zheng said on Friday when meeting with German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock in Beijing.
As two major countries, China and Germany have the important responsibility of maintaining world peace and promoting common development, and should closely dialogue, settle differences, deepen cooperation and move forward together, Han added.
Noting that China will continue to expand market access and make efforts to build a first-class business environment with marketization, rule of law and internationalization, Han welcomed enterprises from all countries, including Germany, to share the new opportunities brought by China's new development.
For her side, Baerbock said that Germany regards China as an important partner and is willing to strengthen bilateral exchanges and cooperation with China in various fields and promote the relations between the two countries to a new level.
