Former Japanese Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama has voiced his opposition to the Japanese government's plan to dump nuclear-contaminated water from the tsunami-stricken Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant into the Pacific Ocean. He warned that the technology being used to treat the water cannot completely remove radioactive substances, which may cause harm to the marine environment and human health.
