People's Bank of China Governor Yi Gang met with U.S. Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell on the sidelines of the International Monetary Fund (IMF)/World Bank Spring Meetings in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday, according to a statement released by the People's Bank of China on Friday.

The two sides exchanged views on the economic and financial situation of China and the United States.
