The 133rd Canton Fair kicked off on the morning of April 15. Held in three phases through May 5, it is also the largest in history, with a record number of exhibition areas and exhibitors.

This year's event is its first offline exhibition in three years.

In addition to the previous exhibition hall, the Canton Fair opened a new 100,000-square-meter pavilion, the exhibition area increased from 1.18 million square meters to 1.5 million square meters, and the number of booths jumped from 60,000 to nearly 70,000.

Canton Fair offline exhibitors rose to more than 34,000 this year, with more than 9,000 new exhibitors, and online exhibition enterprises reached 39,281.

It is worth noting that production enterprises and private enterprises are the largest exhibitors, accounting for 50.57 percent and 90.1 percent, respectively. Enterprises have uploaded more than 3 million exhibits online, including nearly 800,000 new products and nearly 500,000 green and low-carbon products.

At the same time, the Canton Fair further expanded the scale of the import exhibition, which for the first time was set up in all three sessions, reaching 30,000 square meters. A total of 508 enterprises from 40 countries and regions participated in the exhibition in 12 specialized exhibition areas, among which 73 percent were exhibitors from countries and regions partaking in the Belt and Road Initiative.
