New products and technologies have attracted extensive attention at the 133rd China Import and Export Fair, which kicked off in Guangzhou, south China's Guangdong Province on Saturday.
The fair, also known as the Canton Fair, is considered a major gauge of China's foreign trade. This year's fair has added new exhibition areas, including industrial automation and intelligent manufacturing, new energy and intelligently connected vehicles to meet market demand.
Three autonomous aerial vehicles at display have attracted many buyers and visitors, including one built to carry passengers, one to help with high-rise firefighting, and one capable of carrying cargoes, according to its developer, the Guangzhou-based EHang Holdings Limited.

Another local company's unmanned bus, taxi and street sweeper have attracted exhibitors from other provinces in China and countries like Mexico, Russia and those in the Middle East, according to China Business Network, citing its developer WeRide.
Besides, there are 800,000 new products displayed online this year, among which about 500,000 are green and low-carbon products, indicating that enterprises are paying more attention to green, low-carbon and environmentally friendly products.
First launched in 1957, the fair witnessed upgrading of the industrial structure in recent years. Studies show that in the past several years, the exhibits have shifted from labor-intensive clothes, shoes and hats to high-tech products such as new energy, electromechanical and high value-added complete sets of equipment and intelligent robots.
The fair is scheduled to run until May 5 in three phases.
