Industrial robots have been one of the highlights at the ongoing 133rd China Import and Export Fair, also known as the Canton Fair, in Guangzhou, south China's Guangdong Province.

Displayed in the newly-set exhibition area of industrial automation and intelligent manufacturing are various eye-catching robot products, China Media Group (CMG) reported on Monday.

An unmanned intelligent production line featuring five robots demonstrated its response to customers' needs for creating different products. The consumer can get the customized products in just two to three minutes after placing an order by scanning a code with a mobile phone.

Nearly 200 foreign customers have been received at the booth and the number is increasing, an exhibitor of the consumer-to-manufacturer production line told CMG. "It is estimated that about 100 to 200 robots can be sold if the orders are signed, and the amount can reach 10 million yuan (about $1.45 million)."

A local company on automated guided vehicles showed its latest intelligent mobile robot, which can lift nearly 100 tonnes of cargo and be customized for different application scenarios.

"Knowing that this year's Canton Fair will be held offline again with a new exhibition area of industrial automation and intelligent manufacturing set up, we signed up immediately in the hope of making more customers," the company's marketing director told Xinhua News Agency.

A booth of augmented reality (AR) glasses that can be applied in the industrial field also attracted many foreign customers.

They tried out multiple functions of the AR glasses, which include real-time transmission of images, rapid upload of inspection data, and remote diagnosis of equipment faults.

"We've learnt at the exhibition that many overseas clients hope to use China's intelligent manufacturing equipment to help them improve their industrial efficiency and production efficiency, and go global," an exhibitor of the AR glasses told CMG.

In addition to intelligent industrial products, other alternative energy, electromechanical, and high value-added products have also assembled at the fair, demonstrating China's innovative capabilities.

Meanwhile, new products from industrial manufacturing, electronic home appliances, and lifestyle will debut at more than 300 online and offline launch events at the fair.
