Violent clashes broke out between U.S.-led coalition forces and local militias after U.S. forces reportedly raided an ISIS target in an airdrop in a village in the Syrian border city of Jarabulus, northeast of Aleppo on Sunday.
A spokesman for the U.S. Central Command said a helicopter raid in northeast Syria targeted a senior ISIS leader and planner early Monday morning.
U.S. said the raid killed three armed individuals including a senior ISIS Syria leader while local sources in Syria also claimed casualties among American soldiers during the clashes.
