The Yellow River, known as the "mother river of China," stretches over 5,464 kilometers and runs through nine provinces. It is the second largest river in China after the Yangtze River. From March to April, Hukou Waterfall—the largest waterfall on the Yellow River and the world's largest yellow waterfall—enters its "peach blossom flood season," during which time the snow and ice melt, and the waterfall displays its grandeur. This is the best time to appreciate the breathtaking beauty of the peach blossoms in full bloom.
