The National Cultural Heritage Administration (NCHA) held a work conference on Tuesday in Wuhan, central China's Hubei Province, on the development of the country's national archaeological site parks. An award ceremony for the fourth group of China's national archaeological site parks was held in Wuhan, adding 19 more to the list. Cultural heritage officials and experts gathered in the city on the International Day for Monuments and Sites to discuss how to better manage the country's national archaeological site parks. Since 2010, 55 such parks have been built, covering an area of 235 square kilometers, which is nearly three times larger than the planned area. A total of 146 million visits have been recorded during the past five years.
