Esteban Lazo Hernández was elected as president of Cuba's National Assembly of People's Power on Wednesday, state news agency reported.
Cuba held its National Assembly election last month to elect 470 lawmakers.
According to the country's constitution, president of the National Assembly will also serve as the president of Cuba's "Council of State," the legislative leadership.
