The Yellow River Delta, located in Dongying City, east China's Shandong Province, is formed by the sediment deposition carried by the Yellow River when it flows to Bohai Bay. To protect the local unique ecosystems, the Yellow River Delta National Nature Reserve was established in 1992.
As one of the most complete wetland ecosystems in China, the Yellow River Delta has benefited from a series of wetland restoration measures such as ecological water replenishment. It can effectively promote the virtuous cycle of the local wetland ecosystem, attracting more and more birds to settle here.
