The world's first mid-infrared solar observation telescope developed by China has started installation and testing in northwest China's Qinghai Province. The telescope is equipped with Infrared System for the Accurate Measurement of Solar Magnetic Field (AIMS) to fill the gap in such fields around the world. The mid-infrared range observation of the sun would help improve accuracy in measurement of the solar magnetic field.
