China's southern city Guangzhou is rolling out the red carpet for the 133rd China Import and Export Fair, after three years of holding the fair online due to the pandemic. The Canton Fair is China's oldest and largest international trading fair, both in terms of the venue size and the number of global participants. So what does this year's fair mean for China's, and the world's, economic rebound? William Lee, the chief economist at the Milken Institute, said the Canton Fair shows how important trade is to China's growth, especially with the shift to high-quality, value-added goods.
