China has condemned Japan after a ritual offering by its Prime Minister Fumio Kishida at the controversial Yasukuni Shrine. China considers the shrine in Tokyo as "a spiritual tool and symbol of Japanese militarists' war of aggression". It honors the country's war dead, including class-A World War Two criminals.
