The Lyrid meteor shower occurs around mid-late April every year. And in China, the best time to watch the peak period is the night of April 22. It's said this year's zenithal hourly rate would be up to 18. Like many other meteor showers, the Lyrids were named after the point in the sky where they appear to radiate – the constellation Lyra, in this case. CGTN brings the Lyrid meteor shower to you from different provinces in southwest China.
