Nature's magic transforms an artificial lake into a bird haven
CGTN

The man-made lake on the Hainan University campus in southern China appears to be one of the most popular destinations for birds to visit, whether they are foraging, relaxing or looking for love. The lake area gradually transformed into a miniature mangrove swamp with various food resources that birds prefer because it was protected by dense mangrove and other vegetation. Here is a group of some of the lake's regulars.

A flock of white-shouldered starlings perches on the roof of a building near the lake, preparing for an early morning flight to the mountainous area in the distance. Every night, the birds return and rest on the trees surrounding the lake.
