Americans purchased nearly 60 million guns between 2020 and 2022. The Trace, a nonprofit, nonpartisan news organization that tracks gun violence, found that demand for firearms has spiked after mass shooting incidents. People are afraid of other people with guns, so they're buying guns. However, where there are more guns, there is more death.
