In eastern China's port city of Qingdao, various events are being held to mark the 74 anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Navy. Besides open day events, a music performance titled "Big Wave" was staged to depict the 74-year history of the Chinese navy, demonstrating PLA Navy's resolve to fight for and protect the peace. Still, a light show takes place over the weekend as part of the Navy Day events, drawing streams of spectators.
