The Philadelphia 76ers swept the Brooklyn Nets 4-0 in the NBA Eastern Conference first-round playoffs, though they faced certain level of resistance from the opponents that completed two blockbuster trades in February for a lineup reshuffle.
While the 76ers are waiting to find out who they will meet in the East semifinals, they may want to pray that Joel Embiid can recover quickly from his knee sprain. Not only did that injury cost him Game 4 against the Nets, according to coach Doc Rivers, Embiid may not be able to ready to start in the second round.
The Nets don't have a clear goal this season after sending away Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant. That's why they should be glad to enter the playoffs without appearing in the play-in tournament and watch Mikal Bridges grow into an All-Star caliber.
With a big number of NBA draft picks in their hands, the Nets' front office have a lot of work to do during the offseason. Things will go smooth if they can get rid of Ben Simmons.
