At least 60 people were killed in Burkina Faso by "men wearing military uniforms," AFP and Reuters have reported, citing a prosecutor in the northern city of Ouahigouya on late Sunday.
Prosecutor Lamine Kabore said the Ouahigouya gendarmerie told him that on Thursday "about 60 people were killed by people wearing the uniforms of our national armed forces" in the village of Karma.
He said an investigation was launched after the attack.
No group has claimed responsibility for it yet.
