The British government said in a statement on Monday that the UK, U.S. and EU are announcing further sanctions on Iranian officials, including those from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

The latest UK sanctions targeted four regional commanders of the IRGC, the statement added.

Sweden, as the presidency of the Council of the EU, confirmed that the Foreign Affairs Council has adopted the 7th package of sanctions against individuals and entities from Iran.
