China on Monday successfully conducted a trial run for a high-thrust test stand for liquid-propellant rocket engine at a test center in Tongchuan, northwest China's Shaanxi Province.
Designed with two stations, the test bench is so far the largest for liquid-propellant rocket engine in Asia, with a load capacity of 700 tonnes of thrust.
The successful trial marks the completion of the test bench. It will facilitate China's liquid power research and test, providing a strong support for the implementation of the country's major space projects including heavy-lift carrier rocket, manned lunar landing and deep space exploration.
A more comprehensive support system will be formed for the development of China's liquid-propellant rocket engine after follow-up projects, further accelerating the building of China into a major space power.
