Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu held talks with his counterparts from Türkiye, Syria and Iran in Moscow on Tuesday, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.
During the meeting, the attendees discussed practical steps towards strengthening security in Syria and normalizing Syrian – Turkish relations, the ministry said in a statement.
Particular attention was given to countering all manifestations of terrorist threats and fighting all extremist groups on Syrian territory, the statement said.
