America's trade & economic restrictions on China, namely imposing tariffs and trying to move supply chains, have not been effective in the past few years. In the Hub with Wang Guan, Stephen A. Orlins, president of the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations, says tariff didn't bring manufacturing back to the U.S. but added to inflation. "There has been limited trade decoupling," he says, pointing at the difficulty to shift supply chains.
