The Chinese Navy's Nanning and Weishanhu ships on Wednesday carried out the task of evacuating Chinese personnel in Sudan. This was the third time that the Chinese Navy had dispatched warships to carry out overseas evacuation missions, after the Libya evacuation in 2011 and the Yemen evacuation in 2015. The first batch of 678 people was evacuated safely and arrived at Jeddah Port in Saudi Arabia by 10 a.m. on April 27.
