Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held phone talks with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on Thursday, and addressed the Türkiye-Russia relations and regional issues, the Turkish presidency said in a brief statement.
The two leaders discussed developments in the Russia-Ukraine conflict and the Black Sea grain deal.
"President Erdogan stated that works on new initiatives can be carried out through the working group proposed to be formed," the statement said, adding that developments in Syria were also discussed during the phone call.
The statement said Putin wished Erdogan well after the latter developed an upset stomach while conducting a live TV interview on Tuesday evening.
Earlier on Thursday, Turkish Health Minister Fahrettin Koca said Erdogan was in good health and would continue with his daily scheduled programs as soon as possible.
