The curtain for the 2023 edition of Shenzhen Design Week has been officially lifted. Centering on "Global Design, Shenzhen Momentum," organizers are ready to join hands with global designers to build this year's showcase into an event that has Shenzhen characteristics and global standards.

During the event, which will last until May 6, a series of summits, meetings and exhibitions that showcase the latest frontiers of design, the fusion between design and technology, and the development of the design industry will be held. In an effort to discover new designing talents and superior works, ceremonies for the Shenzhen Global Design Award and the SZ-HK-MO Design Competition For Young Talents will also be staged.
The 2023 Shenzhen Design Week is co-hosted by the city government of Shenzhen and the International Council of Design, and is co-organized by China Media Group (CMG)'s Guangdong Bureau and CMG's Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Center. /CMG
This year marks the 15th anniversary of Shenzhen being named a "City of Design" by UNESCO. Shenzhen is the first city in China to acquire the coveted title. Over the years, the city has become a design hub that is home to dozens of listed enterprises and more than 200,000 designers, creating revenue worth hundreds of billions of yuan on an annual basis.
