The Petra Light Festival is taking place from April 23 to May 3 in the ancient city of Petra in southern Jordan. When night falls, the Treasury in the heart of Petra is brought back to life by 3D projection mapping. Petra was built by the Nabataeans more than 2,000 years ago. Renowned for its rock-cut architecture, it was designated as a World Heritage site by UNESCO in 1985 and one of the new seven wonders of the world in 2007.
