Ruslan Bortnik, director of the Ukrainian Institute of Politics, said in an interview with CGTN that China's proposal for a peaceful solution to the conflict has been understood by the Ukrainian president's office, and now Ukraine regards China's proposal as a basis for dialogue. He also stressed that only countries like China that have been consistently neutral can promote the process for a peaceful solution to conflict.
