China's Chen, Lin win all titles at WTT Star Contender Bangkok

Team China's Chen Xingtong and Lin Gaoyuan won all five titles at the World Table Tennis (WTT) Star Contender 2023 Bangkok on Saturday.

Earlier on Friday, the pair had won the mixed doubles title. They went on to clinch the rest on offer a day later.

In the women's singles, Chen beat South Korean Joo Cheon-hui 11-2, 6-11, 11-9, 15-13, 11-5.

Chen was met with a challenge from Joo in the fourth game when she was leading 2-1. She managed to take the game and breeze to victory.

Chen later teamed up with Kuai Man to win the women's doubles over Cheng I-Ching and Li Yu-Jhun of Team Chinese Taipei in straight games.

In the men's singles, Lin had to go through a full-game match with Jang Woo-jin of South Korea, winning the final 9-11, 12-10, 17-19, 11-9, 11-5, 4-11, 11-9.

The two contested each other again in the men's doubles final shortly after. This time, Lin Gaoyuan enjoyed an easier win in straight games with teammate Lin Shidong to help China make a clean sweep of all five titles.
