Four people are still missing, including one Chinese national, after a yacht sank off Tubbataha Reef near Palawan Island, the Philippine Coast Guard said on Sunday.
Twenty-eight people have been rescued, including four Chinese nationals, the coast guard added.
The Chinese Embassy in the Philippines immediately activated its emergency response mechanism and urged the Philippine Coast Guard to step up search and rescue efforts and find out the cause of the incident as soon as possible.
