Passenger flow in China continued to operate at a high level on Day 2 of the five-day International Labor Day holiday. Airlines are expected to carry out 3,500 international passenger flights over the holiday, or 30 percent of pre-COVID levels. According to estimates, the Chinese civil aviation industry handled 16,371 domestic and international flights on Sunday, with the number of air passenger trips hitting 1.81 million. On the same day, domestic trips handled by China's railway system were expected to hit 18 million, with 11,217 passenger trains dispatched to handle the travel rush on the day.
